Anadenobolus monilicornis "Bumblebee" Millipedes are a fantastic small-to-medium-sized species that suit both beginner and experienced keepers. Their striking yellow and black colouration gives them their popular "Bumblebee" name, while their active nature makes them a rewarding species to observe. These millipedes spend plenty of time exploring above the substrate and readily accept a wide variety of foods.

We successfully keep and breed our Bumblebee Millipedes at standard UK room temperatures of around 20°C. However, they show their best growth and activity when maintained between 22–24°C.

For humidity, we recommend maintaining levels between 65–80%. This range closely matches the conditions we use in our own breeding setups and helps support healthy moulting and growth.

Adult Anadenobolus monilicornis "Bumblebee" Millipedes for sale typically reach around 6cm in length. Provide a suitably sized enclosure with deep substrate, climbing opportunities, and plenty of natural décor such as cork bark, branches, and leaf litter to encourage natural behaviours.

Bumblebee Millipedes thrive on a varied diet. While they enjoy occasional treats such as washed and peeled vegetable scraps, the majority of their diet should consist of leaf litter, decaying hardwood, and quality flake soil. We also recommend providing a permanent calcium source such as cuttlebone, crushed eggshells, or oyster shell. To support healthy growth, we supplement ours with dried shrimp as an additional source of protein.
